This little guy was sunning on my deck this morning. I shot one without flash and one with fill flash turned 2 stops down. Shot with Olympus E-510 w/40-150mm, Program mode, 100 ISO, F/5.6, 1/180sec, 150mm, cropped resized for posting.

Which one do you all like. I'm leaning toward the fill flash shot.

No contest - the flash brightens the color so you can tell without a doubt it is a juvenile American Goldfinch.

LOL. That's an American slang term. You could say bugger, booger, rascal, fellow, lad, etc.
Kind of a generic term that could fit a lot of different situations.

Very nice series.. I like the 1st one "without fill in flash".. Looks natural to me.. Fill in Flash looks to be a bit harsh to me.. But that just personal preferences.. I feel
