Hate them in my lawn but they are cool looking up close.

completely agree, and really like the way those stamen disappear in the yellow of the flower.

Very nice! They are fascinating flowers, as long as you don't have a lawn. My yard is "natural" so leave them alone until it's time to knock down the weeds. Amazing how something so humble and disliked can be so interesting.

I hate them too Bob...but they are good subjects especially when they go to the fluffy stage...I like this one. It makes a statement. Thanks for sharing.
