Default Focus stacked robber fly

After I found lordV on the internet I've always been intreged by the way he focus stacks his macro shots.
For those who don't know him you should visit him at http://lordv.smugmug.com/ or
http://www.flickr.com/photos/lordv/.

So today when a robber fly landed in the garden I tried focus stacking my macro shots of an insect for the first time.
(these are the results of over 270 handheld shots most where worthless) k20d + kiron105mm

First one - landed and didn't stay long enough.
4 stacked images - 1/40sec - f4.5 - iso800

Second one
8 stacked images - 1/160sec - f4.5 - iso800

Third one,
14 stacked images - 1/160sec - f4 - iso800

almost no cropping , helicon focus for focus stacking the 6mp versions are available at my smugmug.

The bottom line, I'm happy with the result, but I guess I still can go a lot better.
