Default Geranium

Here's a picture I took today of a salmon-colored geranium flower. This isn't much of a macro, but the camera was in macro mode and very close to the flower.

Sony F717
f2.0
1/200
-0.3 exposure compensation
Auto white balance

Cropped, resized, slight unsharp mask; no other adjustments

Nice shot.

The photo has a metering problem. The reason why the red colors are like a mess and without details is because the lightmetering should have been done manually. You should try this and then you might get lots of details in the red areas.

I would crop the shot a bit too to frame the flower at bit more contentrated.
