I focused(my eyes) on a certain spot-at bottom of dripping cup, and pressed the remote release as soon as saw the drop-I tried the focusing half way down and got different type drip shots..I also counted 1001,1002,1003 etc and knew it would drip around 6 or 7.
Mite be better ways...but that's what I did.

Couple more I did..first one is focusing(my eyes) half way down.....second one is using clear bowl with red horse balnket under it and shooting almost straight down.Didnt think these was quite as good as the other I posted.

You should shoot from the side so you can get the height of the column. It doesnt show up as well from overhead. But both of your shots are stellar. Great job. Your red shot with the horse blanket is very attractive. Just think how attractive it would be if you relaced that horse blanket with something from Victoria's Secret. Maybe in a nice pink.

these are great too. i like the timing of the first shot. and the red one is a pleasing color.

....hmmm, maybe I'll have to find a GF that has something in pink
