Default Dead

Just playing around. Shot this with the 14-42mm kit lens

And, this was shot with a 50mm OM mount I picked up a while back.

I like the simplicity of these shots. Iím not sure where the dead part comes in?

The first shot is nice and simple. Too bad those other out of focus pieces are there. The sharp pristine focus of the needles on that nice mottled dark background is really nice. The shot looks so nice and clean. Oh hell, here it is without the fuzzies.

i rather like the simplicity of these shots too Gary. I like the contrast of the brown and the black as well.

when i first saw the first picture, i had envisioned something like bynx's edit too. it enhances the simplicity and contrast.

Thanks, Dustin. Simplicity is what I had in mind. Along with just plain wanting to shoot something different. I haven't played much with the 50mm or 28mm OM mount lenses that I picked up so, this was a opportunity to do that, too. Manual focus ain't fun when ya have old eyes.
