How brutal and mocking of the act of love!!! A shameful statement!

The toad replies
"Gribet, croak, griiiiiibet"

When I was eight years old, I learned an important lesson from these toads (or similar ones) - And I also learned what the word "Karma" meant. I shoved one of these little guys into a Yellow jack nest, and the wasps came out in a swarm to attack him (which was the idea). The toad was quite appreicative of the free meal, and the Yellow Jacks got tired of being eaten, and turned to where I was "hiding" and stung the crap out of me. I never forgot that well deserved lesson. I had it coming and paid the price...

They are merely doing what comes naturally. Call it what it is - amplexus - and nobody will think to accuse you of saying anything improper!

Great shots, too.

Had to look that one up...

Amplexus: the clasping posture of fertilization in frogs and toads.
Does it not strike you that Toads and People have certain things in common?
