Default Some Macro from NYC Highline Park

The city did a good job of planting some new flowers after the winter, so I took some hand held macro with the 28-135 today. I do not shoot macro nearly as well as my wife. So I know the shots not as well set up.

the biggest thing is watching your background. the dof is nice in the first one, but the lines in the background are a bit harsh and the stems are cut a bit short. the 2nd one if you would have moved more to your right so it was set off with the green and not the same color, that would have helped, also, seems like you are cutting off the stems too short, i would leave a bit longer to give the flower context, or you can go in even closer and take the stem out completely. they are kind of halfway.

Thanks Hards for the suggestion. Macro requires a bit more attention to details. Or I am just not that great with taking flowers either way, I will work on it a bit more. It is fun to shoot.

Nice job. Why not intensify that bug in the first one?
