Default A caterpillar came to visit

While sitting on the sofa I found a caterpillar walking across the table, I'm guessing that it came from the flowers I got mum when she arrived from the UK. No matter where it came from, it gave me something to shoot with the 7D and Sigma 105 macro. I also used external flash and bounced off of a wall or ceiling.

I shot hand held (he/she/it kept moving) using live view zoomed to 5 or 10x with the camera focused for 1:1 and just moved forward/backwards to get focus on the head.

This was only about the 3rd time playing with the lens and it still amazes me with its abilities.

Any C&C appreciated.

It would be nice to add another lens to the collection, especially as it can go on my SX1 as well but can't afford to add anything else to the setup so will have to be happy..... you know how that feels

Outstanding! Mark!
Your general photography skills are showing in how fast you have learned the macro end of this fascinating hobby!

Thanks GW, glad you enjoyed them. I just need more willing subjects now to practise some more.
