Default Mökin lilja = Summer cottage lily

Greetings from Toivakka, Finland! I am deep in the woods (abosolutely pouring rain for Midsummer's Eve. In any case, the sun did show its face today, and laying on my back on the grass I shot this photo.

I did my post-processing on this laptop... I hope that what I see on this screen is ok. Taking this photo was a lot of fun. Hope you like it, I don't see what I can to do the composition to make it better. Any ideas?

All the best.

Ned

Love the yellow against the dark green. Thanks for sharing.

the best thing about this shot is you can rotate it almost anyway and it still looks great

indeed, Simon... And that's one thing I can add to my list of WOW on this image
That it's perfect in any rotation and because of that, this angle is almost more alluring than regular portrait mode in my opinion.
Looks really refreshing coming from the right hand side

Thank you, everyone, for your most comments, indeed.

Just came home from summer cottage (mökki)... now you know one Finnish word!... Well, you know two, "SAUNA". Anyway, here are a few more photos of this lily. If you have any advice, cc, etc., on how to improve on the composition and post-processing. I am very new to DSLR and especially post-processing, I've been stuck in film all these years... I really want to learn... really chuffed to bits to have joined this forum.

The first two photos is obviously looking toward the sun... I'm not so great at that.

Oh, I reprocessed my shots from yesterdays (Note, the first photo in this thread)... Yes, at 1/60 of sec., I think I might have moved... sorry... wish I was more steady. Anyway, below is original... and now that I am home, with a real computer to use, here is my NEW reprocessed photo. Hope it suffices.

All the best.

Ned
