Default Large moth

I pulled this moth off the grill of my car the other day. (poor fella)
He was in pretty bad shape but, I thought it would make a good subject for a few practice shots.
(things that are dead don't move as much as live bugs)
I thought the antenna were quite interesting.

This pose reminded me of my mom when she would stand at our bedroom door looking at my brothers and me when we would be squabbling over something. she usually didn't have to say a word.

He really was looking pretty bad...

Another shot with attitude!

Taken with the Tamron SP 28-80mm and Raynox 250.

That's a male polyphemus moth, a lot of male moths have elaborate bipectinate antennae--highly attuned to detecting those female pheromones at mating time.

GW,

Great results, also the wasp pictures. Sooner rather han later you'll have to tell us how you and the Raynox do it

I find the picture that makes you remember your childhood very ...... well, don't know which word to use (funny+hideous)

Remember once when I was literarily forced to finish my cold disgusting porridge. Suppose Sigmund wasn't too far from the truth when he emphasized the importance of a happy childhood

Thank you, GW
