Default First Macro

First attempt at macro today, Got a Sigma 180 a few days ago and first chance to get out and try it. Got a lot to figure out doing macros and a focusing rail is on my short list but I think I'm 'hooked'.

Simple, used a tripod, I'm too old and shaky to do handheld. Most always use even a monopod even on regular type pics.
Thanks for the comments Simple and Jeephotog.

That's a really awesome shot.

simple, I always have a monopod under my car seat. I acquired the habit when my kids started going to school and had school concerts. I mounted my camcorder on my monopod and taped the show sitting down holding the monopod with one hand.

Monopods are useful for other things, too. For one, you might use it as walking stick when hiking. If things go wrong, you can use it as a lightsaber to defend yourself. It can also be used to lift women's skirts by "accident". And when it starts to rain, you can hold it up and pretend it's an umbrella.

Just kidding people...
