Default T1i with ef-s 55-250 IS and 500D macro

This is a good little setup for new canon dslr owner wanting to get into macro shooting and have the kit lens. The ef-s 55-250 does a pretty nice job for macro with the 500D conversion lens. These were shot at f5.6

Sorry these were hand held at night. tripod would have let me use a smaller aperture and have less shallow dof

the 500d is a good closeup filter. makes for a great starter choice for macro without the investment of a dedicated lens. and as you show it gets up close and provides good detail.

It is a good way to start to learn macro shooting without having to spend 400 dollars on a true macro lens. The true macro lens like the ef 100 2.8 does do a better job.
