Saly,

Just simply stunning shots. #2 Damsel is my favorite.

Question about the LC55. In shot #4 the front of the bug is sharp but the tail goes soft. Is this caused by a small focus point in the LC55 are the camera was set to have a shallow DOF are something else.

Thanks,

jj

Thanks so much, everyone!

jj - I was shooting in P mode. When there is lots of sunlight, the aperture closes and DOF widens. #4 was slightly darker location than others, so the DOF got really shallow. I have also noticed that the further back you stand and zoom in more, the shallower the DOF gets. I could have improved #4 if I had set the camera to A mode and chosen a larger f-number, but I didn't have time!

Saly nos 2 & 3 wouldn't look out of place in a field guide. Excellent detail.
