love it !! wonderful tones and colors there !! I always liked the hoverflies, such large eyes, we dont see alot of those here in Florida, at least where I frequent

Thanks jaharris - they are the most common bugs right now besides the honeybees, and they are easier to photograph because they tend to stay in one spot as long as you move slow.

Great shot saly, how far away were you, about 30cm ? 12 inches in real measurement terms

Thanks SquareOne, I'm typically 18 - 20 inches away (typically). The further away I stand and the more I zoom in, better bokeh I get. But all of this also depends on available light, I noticed.

Stunning shot, so sharp and the colour and composition are divine. Love the way his wings are irradescent.
