Thanks Clint and Saly Clint, yes I hand hold all my live macro shoots, its just to cumbersome lugging around a tripod through the forest when shooting live insect , plus I'd probably scare away half of my subjects
Saly,, you find these subjects ugly ?? LOL Im fascinated with alot of these subjects when you see them up close and personal,, alot of people never get to do that

These are all fantastic - you do have a very steady hand. Amazing eyes these flies have (so they can see when you put out the picnic food).

Lol, yeah sure he's ugly! Look at all that hair! But still, gorgeous shots. And you're absolutely right about seeing these guys in a whole new light. Bugs, plants and everything else are so different up close.

I agree, typically flies are a pest ,, I think we all can agree on that,, spiders and such too,, but for me they sure make an interesting subject to photograph I appreciate ll of you looking and commenting !!
