Over here they often grow in very large populations; from a distance making it look almost like snow

Wow, what a place to find, lovely!! Really fab shots, you have captured the flower beautifully in all shots. No.1 is my fave for its simplicity.

I agree. The simpler, the better. Just bought the FZ by the way. Seems to me it's real strength is close up photography. I like the not-so-shallow depth of field when I try macro photo
