Default Chain

This was taken today with my Canon. It seemed to lose some detail, when I resized it (I really want a macro lens!); but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Hi,

I don't normally mess with other people's photo's but since you posed a question relative to Adobe Camera RAW in the general discussion forum.
I thought I'd take your image and post process it using Camera RAW.

Bear in mind that the image I was playing with is a much smaller file size than what comes out of your Canon camera, but here is the result of a quick edit:

Oh, that's great! Much better! It REALLY brought out the texture of the links! Some of the texture I couldn't even see with my eyes (though, they are admittedly bad! LOL)

Thanks!

Yeah, I figured I'd better make the photos smaller to post on the internet (but I think it's awesome that they could be FEET wide!)

Hi Jeanie - great shot there, love the subject matter combined with the texture idea - and rust aint always that easy to get right.

Put the picture in an email and mail to your friends and then they can mail it, so forth.........

You'd have a chain email.

Thank you, Dyane! I love textural photos. One reason why I really want a macro lens. If only Minolta lenses would work with my Canon. *sigh*

That made me laugh, Clint!

Thanks, jj! I had to cut out so much of the shot (the pile o' chain is sitting on the floor of one of our outbuildings) to get rid of the junk around the edges. I'm lucky I had anything left to work with! LOL Of course, punching up the colors helps... I'm noticing that my digital photos seem to come out pretty bland, when using the auto settings. I may need to dig out my light-weight tripod, so I can slow everything down.

Thank you, Jeff! I'm workin' on it!
