Default Black & Yellow Garden Spider

Decidedly the largest spider I had ever seen (except for the tarantula). The abdomen alone was at least 1.5 in (4cm). Still gives me the creeps thinking about it....

The zigzag pattern in front of her face reflects UV and thought to be used as lure to attract food, or deterrent to enemies by shaking it.

He looks well fed, nicely done. Years ago in my yard we had one and watched it grow up,
then a big big rain fell and never saw him again.
First time I ever got attached to a spider. I only see them now when out and about.
