I found another Carolina Mantis - a smaller one.

Looks like its begging for a mantis treat.






I think it's gargling after its meal.

Wow, are you the mantis whisperer? that articulation under it's throat is awesome. I've never seen one expose it's throat like that, you must've been very patient for it to trust/not care like that. The ones around here are very aware of my movements when setting up for shots. I've never had a lot of luck with mouth shots at all and you are really nailing them.
