No flash. This was one of those shots where there was very strong light on the BFly and bloom and very little light on the background. Used a very fast shutter with the exposure set low. This gave a dark background that I then later adjusted the levels down with PP software to get the black background.

I think it is some kind of weed. A few are in bloom in my hunting grounds.

If I'm not mistaken, the flower is a purpalius radiali.
