Default My recent meanderings. (no spiders)

These are from my recent trips to the nature preserve nearby.
I almost got a shot of a Black Widow, I noticed some egg sacks under an overhang on a container and took a twig to remove them and the web.
I was being careful because a B.W. is usually close by, to my amazement there was a well preserved "dead" B.W.
As as I was removing the web from it you could clearly see the red hourglass, then it suddenly sprang to life and started running around.
I jumped and and my camera was in the house on the other side of the fence.
It was huge and pregnant and I didn't want it to get away so my only option was to stomp it. That's the one that got away.

Anyway, these are what I did get.

This is the second bloom of the Plumbago, It was too pretty to leave out

Cheers.

All well done - I like number 4 with the ants the best. I wonder what the fly is thinking? Neat looking geometry and composition.

Thanks for the comments, it's good to have things to photograph again and spring is rolling through.
When I got the #4 shot it was really windy and there were lots of bugs on that one and only plant. It had lots of lady bugs but the wind made them "almost good" blurry.
