Default Odd yet beautiful...

Check out this flower. Isn't it odd? The yellow and purple design on it occurs only on the top petal and only on one petal. This was the case in every flower too. I have no idea what this flower is called but I found it in India(during my recent trip) by a river.

I was going to say Iris until I looked closer at the picture. It is either a Rhododendron or Azalia. The two have similarly shaped flower clusters but the Azalias are much smaller.

Portland, OR is called the "Rose City" but it should really be called the "Rhodie City". There are far more Rhododendrons than Roses here.
