Default the colors of autumn

went across the street for a couple of hours this afternoon... not many good views there, but some nice color nonetheless. it was cloudy, and i had a polarizer on to help with saturation and contrast, but i was shooting freehand, so most of these were shot at ISO 1600...

G'day Rocky

Not sure if the polariser has helped - I am finding a lack of separation between image parts, particularly in #1 ~ tho I do like the varigated colours in #4

Regards, Phil

thanks, Phil...

polarizer won't do much to separate parts of the image, just tends to deepen the saturation a bit. and with something like a Japanese lace-leaf maple (#1), there really ARE no image parts that you can separate... just a tangle of colors and shapes. but i like the sort of abstract feel it has. i normally don't shoot stuff like this... leaves on the ground in a jumble don't do a lot for me...but there wasn't much else to shoot!
