Default Roses :)

Here are some pics that i took of a rose that my mom got on Valentines day.......
i set it up (see the last picture) with lamps and my tripod on a counter.......i used the full splash of my counter as the background for a couple and then (as shown in the last picture) set up a white paper to make the background white. i took a couple shots with one lamp on, but found that made the colors harder to see, so i added another lamp and took a couple more.
hope you like them

I like the light, did you set the white balance so the camera saw the tungsten lights as redish?

OhOh 60's warning LavaLamp sighted

I like them this way too, the "right" color balance would have removed the orange cast that makes the images look like duotones.

OhOh again I guess strobe lights, UV lights and dayglow posters can't be far behind then.

 FlashBack Warning, this from someone who attended the 60's at least twice, that I can't remember, so it must have been good.

Lovely roses, Vico. I also like the orange cast added by the tungsten. You might try shooting some more at other WB settings to see what differences occur.

My son (19) has one in his bedroom right now, so as Peter says, this gives me a chance to be "someone who attended the 60's at least twice". . .
