It looks like the tip from a sword scabbard.

Default Scabbard

If it is on the smaller size it looks like the scabbard for my Letter opener.
I also have a mid sized curved sword with one similar to this.

Well, since you insist, Phil. I was going to wait for a few more stabs (pun intended) but....

It is, indeed, a scabbard tip/guard from a saber scabbard. Without question, a replica. I found it in the mud at the reenactment site for the Battle of Spotsylvania.

If you play this game again put something down next to the object, like a dime or a penny so we know the scale of it. Interesting object.
