Default My very first photo :)

Got an A80 yesterday and this was the very first photo taken by it. Its nothing special but thought I'd post it here since I've used the site so much in helping decide which camera to get. It was actually taken at medium quality on the highest res, didn't realise it wasn't at highest quality at the time.

A good start with your new camera!

Not being familiar with your camera, I'm curious: how can it be set at the highest resolution and still be only medium quality?

Resolution just determines the size of the picture and is independent of quality (jpeg compression level).

You could be at:
1600x1200 - fine
1600x1200 - superfine
1600x1200 - (insert quality here)

Barbara I think Nor means the largest resolution image with medium levels of image compression......or maybe not! Just a guess

Thanks for the kind words folks I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the quality from the A80 Canon. There wasn't really much user input in the picture but with results like that from point and click it really does make me want to see what I can achieve with abit of work.

Cheers.
