Recent water drop pic.
By the way. Can anyone tell me where I can post pictures online free for an extended period of time(more than like 30 days)?

Thanks
I hadn't noticed that before, but the larger of the two really looks like an eye!

I use Fotopic, and I love it! I used Photo.net for a few weeks but it didn't appeal to me to much.

Really love your pic.

Curious....
1) how did you get the water this color?
2) Where was the body of water?
3) How did you take this shot?

Thanks Kelle

I simply added blue food coloring to the water till I got the color I wanted.
The water is in a large but shallow basin. Its about a foot or more across and about an inch and a half deep.
I built a small small l shaped stand with an arm projecting off the top to hold a large medical syringe. The camera is held on a tripod and manually focused on an item like a pencil once I can see where the drops hit the water. Set the camera at ISO 100, Aperature F4.5, and shutter speed of 1/500. Oh yeah I believe I just used a fill flash too.

Neat!

Think I'll give it a go and see what I come up with.

Cheers

Cool! Good luck. I find that I take a whole of these kinds of pictures, just to get one or two that look neat. So I think patience really helps me out.
