Nice macro, but notice that the colors are washed out. If you can, try and change the whitebalance and exposure a bit. Then you will get the details that a macro must have.

The light parts are the edges of a very deep flower. I actually kinda liked them, but will retake it, and try for the results you suggested.

Sorry I didn't explain myself well enough. It's the red part, that has no details. It's a common problem with macros and very deep colors like the red one here. Nothing to do with the whites...

yeah.....get more detail......not really sure how you'd change that though......different light? more light? less?......anyone have any ideas

The largest f stop number I have (smallest aperture) increasing the depth of field. I kinda like it this way but I'm willing to try Klaus' suggestion and see what that looks like.
