Default Bee and Rose

My First day out with S7000 Fuji, on auto pilot ( I have no idea) Its all about having a go I figure so I did and here it is.

Day was over cast and am still learning.

Taken at New Farm Park rose garden and had a little bee fly in for added bonus resized and sharpened and I think I may have pressed auto levels , used and please no laughing, ACD See to edit, be honest but nice as I need all the help I can get!!

it would be better if you used manual...lol but it has good clarity....good colors...good exposure

Congratulations on your new Fuji! I've had mine for a short time now. I've tried the manual mode on the s-7000 with dismal results. I play with different functions , but usually run auto just for my ego.

Your shot of the bee on the rose is nice. Did you use standard, or macro mode? What was your resolution? I stick with 6 megapixel mostly. You never know when your going to get "the shot". Stick with it and have fun. Eventually it will be second nature. That's what I keep telling myself.

Matt,

For a first attempt, pretty darn good. My first attempts are best left on my hard disk.
As you get mroe experience you'll be able to try a few mroe manual controls.
The first one that comes easiest is using EV settings to change the exposure value. But then again bracketing shots does the same thing.
