Here are a couple pics I took recently with my newly acquired Fuji S5000. Both were done in full auto mode (yeah, I know..... I'll learn eventually what all the manual settings do, hehe!). No editing other than resize, a crop on the yellow flower, and unsharp mask on both photos. Only thing I'm truly unhappy with is that I couldn't get all the driveway out of the pic with the yellow Iris. The pic of the rose I did use a flash on, as it was starting to get dark when I took it.

Can you tell it had just rained before I took that one, lol.

Any comments/criticisms are welcome.

Pretty good for full auto, your flash must have been turned way down. You might want to crop it tighter. Keep posting.

Thank you! I have no idea if the flash was down on the rose picture or not since it was in full auto mode, but the S5000 does have an autofocus illuminator on it which is supposed to help it out in lower light situations, so it might have turned it down automatically. I'm pretty surprised at how well this camera takes pictures in full auto mode, actually. Still, I want to learn how to do all the settings manually so I can have a little more control over things.... also so I can play around with settings for effect.
