For some reason i had a very hard time getting a half decent shot of this tiny inchworm.

it is tough to take macros that close up......you did well

it looks a little overexposed....i'm just thinking this because all the inchworms i've seen were more green.....but..i don't know....

I don't know vito. The thing he is on looks ok (of course I don't know what it was so I could be wrong) and the background looks just right. A deep green and not a washy one. But, where the light is hitting it on the left hand side there is a loss of detail, which suggests that it was. Hmm, I'm very curious. If nothing more than to help myself spot a slightly overexposed photograph.

the left side is a bit overexposed. the sun was setting and shining through trees. the inchworm was a pale green and if you notice it is a bit translucent. it was walking on a fence rail that used to be painted red (you can see a hint of that in the background). thanx for the comments.

Not really so much over-exposed as back-lit.

You could've used a ring-flash, of course. If you had one which most of us don't. And then you'd probably have fried the poor littl sod. :-)
