I tasked myself with photographing some flying insects in my garden today. I got these 2 in about 10 minutes..

I showed these to some friends of mine and most of them didn't realize that these insects are IN-FLIGHT. They thought they were just more "insect on a flower" photos which I inflict on them constantly during the summer. I also realized my description above indicated "flying insects" which is a little vague.

I really like #2. Its so easy to see the little critter against a nice, plain background. Nice job. It would be nice to stop his wings. Did you try using your flash to stop some of the movement?

I have been on a kick lately to capture some flying insects...
