I was standing near the back fence with my camera today when I noticed that there was a dragonfly perched atop it. I moved the camera up slowly, and this frienldy fella let me get really close. I shot about 25, and here's the one I think came out the best. What do you think?

Your lucky. Most of them see me and fly far away. Great photos.

...I meant to mention it. It's a Dimage Z2. Settings were f/3.2, 1/80, ISO50, spot metered. I took the photo maybe an hour before I posted it, but I was so excited to have gotten such a great opportunity that I didn't edit anything. It looks nicer after Unsharp Mask though...

The crop is very exiting. Good macro - lots of details as a macro must have. Good work.

This goes to show that we don't need movies to see aliens in space. They live among us already. Good shot.

What amazes me is the size of those eyes, it does look alien

Thanks for the compliments...

What do you think of the framing of the first image? I want to print it as an 8x10. Should I crop it differently first? I would love to print the image of the head at 8x10, but that's only a 640x480 crop...
