hi ho all

here is a close up of a rock cod .

taken in the waters of Jervis Bay which is south of Sydney Australia.

there was some sharpening done . no croping was done .

camera used was a housed ricoh calipo rr30 with an inon d180 strobe.

these creatures have wonderful looking skin . i also love their color .

at times they will remain still and allow u to come quite close . other times not so.

coments would be apreciated

Yuk! And strangely cool.

Good close-up matt. I'm amazed you could get so close.

yeah

theyare a bit yuck but i love em

some times they wont let you get that close .

this time i was just about bumping the fish on the head .

the ricoh is great for macro . it can focus down to 1cm . mostly the problem is getting light on the subject when your that close.

this is another of my macro shots i like . a fresh water shrimp in my fish tank . no croping . no flash (aquraium light) .manual focus . no manipulation .
