here's a shot i took of a flower. looks like some kind of lily. anyone have any ideas? thanx!!

Do you have a shot that isn't cropped? It might be easier to identify if we can see some of the folliage.

I don't know if you've heard of it but gardenweb.com has a pretty active forum and lots of knowledgable folks.

It's a nice flower whatever it is

Appreciate if you let me know which camera did you use to take this photo? I am shopping for one that will give me ability to to suchclose photos of flowers, precious stone, jewelry, etc...

no macro. the flowers are quite big. i think they were about 4 inches in diameter. i can't remember the exposure data but, i think i was using around 1/80sec. it was getting on to late afternoon/early evening. i didn't have a lot of time for many pics. in the first pic most of the background is cloned out. the second pic was not cropped and has some sharpening and stuff.
