Here is a closeup macro shot of a common object that might be more familiar to the lady of the house. See if you can guess what it is. After two days, if nobody has guessed it, I'll post another clue. This is the same idea as Ferny's macro games.

Nikon D100, Sigma 28-80mm, 20mm extension tube.

I had no idea until I read eal's reply, then it jumped out at me.

Mmm. You can't beat a good egg mayonnaise. :love:
The only downside is that everyone knows you've had it the next day. :lol:

... Egg Slicer! I had another shot showing just the edge of the metal frame with the wires. I should have posted it first.
