Not sure which one works better. Or the type of flower.

They're bright! I prefer the second. In the first I can't see the flower because of the angle. Which kind of renders the photo pointless in this case. I'm not saying it's bad, boring or anything else. Just not as good as the second. And you have to try stuff out to know whether it works or not.

Was that water fake or real? It adds interest to. You've got a little bit of noise (that I think looks good) there GoCubs. That may be from the camera or sharpen. I really don't know. Have you heard of Neat Image? It's a handy little tool that takes a little bit of getting used to.

Thanks Ferny,
The water was real, morning dew. I think the noise may be from sharpening, I have helicon noise removal, but I think I forgot to do it on these. I have that one mainly because it was free and I'm cheap. :-)
I haven't really got the hang of unsharp mask yet, so I am just using sharpening in photoshop and I don't think it does as good of a job as is possible.

I think there is a free version of Neat Image. I'm cheap to.
I've never got the hang of unsharpen mask. I'll sit down one day and play.

Thanks Ferny,

I remember reading that the first time, but not much sank in. What I need to do is print it out and work on it that way.

Good macros and a beautiful flower, but your photoshas got abit too much sharpenness. If you want help on Unsharpen mask or another way of sharpening - try the Tutorials Section by clicking the banner...
