With spring in the air these guys are turning up everywhere. This first shot is untouched.

Man, I'm envious. I wish I could take that type of close up. What type of camera do you have and how far away from the catapillar were you?

Thanks heaps for the comments. The camera is the Olympus C8080 , using the super macro mode. I shot the photo as close as i could get. I was very surprised at the shot as it was hand held and quite a breezy day. The tip of holding your breath while taking the shot really works. I have been amazed with the camera so far. The more I use the camera the results keep improving. The camera is worth every cent.

That's awesome. My camera only sports regular macro mode. The original camera I had intended to buy had super macro mode (Pentax Optio 450) but by the time I went to purchase the camera, it had been discontinued and unavailable.
