Sunlight was great this evening--the sumacs are flaming red!

There's a spice called Sumak. It is deep red in color (more like burgundy) - do you know if it possibly comes from this plant you posted?

Ummm, I'm not sure. This is a plant that grows all over in southern MN. I live in the MN River Valley, and highway 169 is lined with the stuff between Le Sueur and Mankato. I've lived in MN all my life and have always called the plant sumac.
