Just reminded me of the wings of a dove for some reason.

All the best macroholics :-)

Danny.

FZ10 : Spot lighted on the white to let the background burn out. White card below to lighten the uinderside.

nicely done danny!

i like the dark background

may i ask what you used to spotlight? i've used flashlights, but i don't think they're bright enough to use outside except at night (i usually shoot in my room, or the basement in pitch black...lol)

Oop's. Sorry Vito, I meant spot metered and sunlight bounced off a white card at the bottom. With macro we don't need much to bounce off or a large card.

Thanks Vito :-), I should never had said "Spot lighted" my mistake mate :-)

Danny.

oh ok

it's all good...my friend dale (he's serving in iraq now), used a spotlight (either LED streamlight, or a large working spot he got a home depot)

so i was just wondering, i'll have to try out the card idea....i've read about reflectors a lot, just haven't gotten around to trying it...

mostly because i like the contrasty light..most of the time

still a nice shot, even without the spotlight
