A nice abstract. The ice is crisp, the water has a nice brown tone. Good photo.

I really like the contrasts in this shot. It is very suggestive.
It makes me want to have an ice cold Coke or Pepsi:-)

It really is a terrific shot. My only criticsim would be that to my eye the small brown vegitation in the lower corner slightly distracts from the rest of the image. It's so clean otherwise.

Very Nice,
smac

Nice contrast of textures. I like the frozen ice and the "frozen" water. I agree, though, about the twigs in the lower-right.

Regards,

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada

I absolutely agree. I must have been blind to that when I was shooting and then I couldn't crop it the way I wanted without that in there. Now I know the shot I'm looking for so I can try again when we get some more ice out there.

I agree with them, otherwise is a very good photo, don't be very hard with yourself you have done a good job finding this combination and taking the photo in this angle and composition.

Keep looking, you have an eye for it.

Very nicely composed and exposed, Wisconsin Girl

One thing you may want to consider (if time permits!) is to visit this spot shortly after daybreak and just before dusk...I think the low angle, golden light at those times of day could lend a nice warm effect to your photo.

I'll have to try again in spring. It is about 3 inches thick now. But, yeah, I have the image in mind now and I can't wait to try again!!

Thanks everyone!
