I like this, but it might be better if the water wasn't so "busy". I am not sure where to focus my attention. Do you have the tools (photoshop) to clone out all of the foam in the water, except for the leading edge?

Yeah, I knew there was something bugging me about the shot, but I couldn't figure it out till you said that.

It started out as a fairly low contrast shot. I really wanted to make it pop, so I used a curves to crank up the contrast. I got the style I was looking for but there isn't a clear center of interest.

I'd like to keep the foam but I'll see if there's a way to soften the contrast a bit while still keeping it vivid.

Thanks for the critique.

I wouldn't clone it out, but rather soften it, like you said. Very interesting idea!

Well I tried a few things and I think this one is what it is. I tried softening but the 'dreamy' look kind of defeated the purpose. Cloning wasn't really an option because it would have simplified it too much.

I was trying to find a way to keep the foam bright without boosting the contrast on the sand beneath the water, but, eh, it is what it is .

I personally don't see anything wrong with it just as it is. :-)
