This was under the fluorescent lamp, hence not very clear.

The flourescent lamp is not what made it fuzzy. It is the lens. What kind of camera/lens setup were you using? Did you use macro mode? If the camera has manual focus available, always use manual for macro shots. However, if the camera is not a DSLR, trying to manually focus using the LCD screen can be difficult. If you can't get the subject in focus, try zooming out a bit or backing up a bit. You may be too close for the minimum focus distance for the lens.

Another thing that helps in macro shots is to use aperture priority mode and set the aperture to the largest f-stop available. Since this will result in a very slow shutter speed, a steady tripod is a must. What this will accomplish is a better depth of field.

Keep trying and show us the results. Tell us exactly what you are doing so we can make recommendations.

Yes, you were right! This was also under a fluorescent lamp, but I took care to hold the camera still (tripod is inconvenient for such close objects). The result this time is considerably better.
