I was minding by own business in the garden, whileliterally get introduced with my new lens (sigma 105mm). When this little beauty strolled up beside me and sat him (or her) self next to me. A rushed about, and took this shot free hand. Im sure theres loads of room for improvement, but im happy with it never the less.

If any one knows the name of this dragonfly (unless it is simply the "red dragonfly) please don't hesitate to tell me.

Thanks for viewing, feedback very welcome

By the look of the wing position, I believe it may be a damselfly. Nice photo. Woody

Very nice looking damselfly! Did you take more photos of this one? The only thing that I might say is that the focus is a little out. Maybe if you got more shots, then one of the others might have better focus.

Cheers for your feedback, I only had to time to get a few shots, before it flew away. That was the better of the bunch. I agree it is out of focus, more so around the head region. I think the problem was my hands, id have the damselfly in focus, then as i took the shot, the camera shake pulled it out. I just wish id had my tripod set up.

Cheers again
