Thanks Jsee.* I used a Nikon D100 SLR with a Tamron 24-135 mm SP lens .* I think all three photos were taken around 135mm focal length.* I didn't use any special settings.* Just a small aperture (~f/11-16).* I was lucky to get some nice natural light on the rose shots.* I think the key in macros is the light. *If you are having problems with reflective surfaces then your problem is probably the light your are using.* I don't have a lot of experience with setting up lights for indoor work or studio shots.* You can probably experiemnt with a flash light or a light bulb and try different angles.* I am sure someone else can give you better advice.* Good luck and keep at itHooobahttp://www.pbase.com/ihabh
