Really cool shot which is rather rare if I may say so. I haven't seen many spider shots when they roll in their food

I only dream of getting shots like this.

Would you please share the techniques and or equipment used? What is an MRE.

Meal Ready to Eat :idea:

... Like everyone said - It was a rare shot, the cricket just happened to jump in the spider's web as I was taking the picture. I used a Canon 10D with an external Sigma EF500 DG Super camera mounted flash and the lens used was also a Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX macro.

A 150mm macro allowed a futher stand-off distance but not as heavy as a 180mm



You can try some different variations too - like pointing up to the sky vs pointing down: :-)
