Ok so there are some shots I have taken. This is my first DSLR ever and before this a few years back I had a Cannon SLR(of some sorts) which got stolen. So haven't really been able to get back into it till well, a few days ago.

I am only using the standard 18-55 lens. I will get another when money permits but till then I am having a ball with my new toy

Oh and yeah alot of the pics that I have taken have just been around the home, which tends to be fairly boring so finding a shot was a lesson in using the eye.

And the Bird, his name is Eddie my budgie

Ok so umm that put the pic in that time, why not the first time? Oh well. Sorry about the size as well, still working out how to size things properly.

Oh and here is a bumble bee too. Could be better I know. But first time I have ever taken a pic of one.

G'day Ollie77 and Hi Ken,

I like your photos, and congrats with your new toy, the D50 is a great camera (even though I'm the owner of a Canon 350D... no hard feelings!)

The photos are interesting "around the home" / "in the garden" compositions. As you said, good training for the eye!

Ken, indeed your edits are a bit overdone I think (too much saturation / contrast) but I can see what you were trying to do. Well done anyway. (also maybe you posted them a bit too small). No problems.

All the best, and let's keep sharing!

Paul
