Three more wild flowers from last week: a trio of crocuses from a local graveyard. As a result I was tempted to title this one "A matter of Life and Death", but decided that was a bit over the top :-)

John.

They are all well done. I absolutely cannot select a favorite. Great work.

Hi John!

Fantastic photos... all three!!

My personal favourite is the third one (but closely followed by the first photo). I particularly like the contrast between the shapes / looks of the 3 flowers in the 3rd photo.

Yesterday I was climbing a mountain here in Romania and saw a small remote flower I just HAD to take.... specifically dedicated to you. I realise it's really quite a bad photo (I was in a rush to get to the top of the mountain .... and down again.. in time before the dark descended!) So sorry it's more of a snapshot than a carefully composed photo. It makes me appreciate even more your photo work of flowers!!

So here is the photo... the flower reminded me of you... can you guess why?

Again thanks for sharing your flowers with us, congratulations!

Paul

Tigerwings: I used a Kodak DX6490 (a couple of years old now, and "only" 4M pixels, but still going strong :-) ). These were taken with a +4 diopter close up filter on the front, which as much as anything else I used to reduce the depth of field. I confess I used a bit of photoshoppery on some of these as well: both to remove tiny blemishes I couldn't see with the naked eye, and to blur the background even more.

Paul, LOL, I can see why it reminded you of me, although I'm wondering if using a snowdrop for an avatar is a good idea now if folks think I'm a flower :G Maybe I should go back to butterflies

Thanks for all the comments everyone!

John.
