I recently purchased a used Tamron 90mm macro. I've a long way to go, but I enjoy the practice. Woody

Can I just say EWWW on the engorged tick???

OK, grossness aside, I love the bee pictures, love the color and frozen action.

Tick! I thought that was a potato with legs. Nice shots. That Tamron seems to really live up to it's rep as a great macro lens. Steve

Yeah the bloated tick is a bit disgusting. Probably the last one I shoot. Shortly after I shot it I saw a Brown Thrasher with what looked to be the critter in its beak. Hopefully the poor bird didn't choke. Thanks for the comments. I promise no more ticks. Woody

It did look like bit like a potato with legs. Wouldn't want the fries from that potato. The 90mm Tamron is very sharp. Probably even sharper when I learn how to use it well. Still waiting for the butterflies and dragonflies. It's cold and windy today, so I'll be waiting for a while. Thanks for looking. Woody

Great set of shots!! A macro lens is next on my "wish list".

...Must agree on the gross-out factor of the tick-but a great shot none-the-less!!

(oh...and that reminds me... time to get more frontline for the dog!!)
